With reference to the correspondence noted in the margin on
the subject of the reclamation required for the Kowloon
Terminus of the Canton-Kowloon Railway, I have the
honour to transmit for the consideration of Your Lordship
and of the Railway Consulting Engineers a copy of a letter
from Mr. G. W. Eves, the Chief Resident Engineer, making
certain further proposals with regard to the site of the
Terminal Station, Building, and Yard.

In my Confidential Despatch of the 12th January, 1906, I forwarded plans showing the
first Section of a reclamation scheme for Hunghom Bay,
estimated to cost $585,000, designed to furnish ground for
a Passenger Station and Goods Depot, and to allow of cargo
being landed into this Depot from lighters, and also a
